Of shooting stars and the scorching sun
The fiery sun is burning down on you, but as the Bollywood legend Raj Kapoor had said, “The show must go on. And so be it. Lights, camera, action and make-up!
When people are scared to even step out of their homes, Tollywood artistes are shooting outdoors — with full make-up on!
“Don’t talk about make-up, it is the worst thing that can be possibly done now, said actress Pallavi Chatterjee, while shooting outdoors in Bansdroni for a tele-film. With full make-up which was constantly being replenished in the hot sun, the reaction on the skin was obvious.
“Aamar shara gaaye rash beriye gachhe, said the actress. Talking about her make-up in summer, Pallavi said, “I do my own make-up and it has to be heavy.
This is no ordinary summer and make-up specialists are trying all kinds of combinations.
Said make-up artiste Prabir Dey, “I have just finished doing the make-up of Jishu Sengupta and Locket Chatterjee. I have used minimum foundation. Generally, it is seen that at this time of the year, make-up tends to get patchy. So the skin has to be kept at its normal base. Special skin creams should be applied constantly. And lots of pampering with ice, of course.
Shooting outdoors with high fever, actress Debolina Dutta said, “A medicated cream has been prescribed by my doctor which I am using. Honestly, with this kind of heat, I wonder if any cream can help my skin!
